We had a great time in Mrytle Beach and Charleston and found some fun things to do. The Mrytle Beach Safari was an amazing experience. **Disclaimer: After we saw the Netflix show Tiger King we would NOT have gone. We thought we were contributing to a healthy sancutuary for animals as we are both animal lovers but we were sadly mistaken. The white sand beaches in Mrytle Beach were beautiful and the water was incredibly warm. The only drawback was that the water was extremenly sandy so when we came out of the water we had taken a good amount of the beach with us in our bathing suits. LOL! There are also a lot of great local restaurants and things to do along the Boardwalk just a short walk from the hotel area.
In Charleston we recommend taking a horse and carriage ride around town to hear about the history of Charleston. There is also a great Farmers Market downtown and dessert at Kaminsky’s is an absolute must! Stop by and see the Angel Oak Tree as well as the Pinapple Fountain and as the sun goes down think about taking a guided Ghost Tour. It was quite the goosebump making experience!

Charleston is amazing. It is still my most favorite place I have lived. Next time you go there, try California Dreaming. It is right on the marina, surrounded by water! I worked there for 3 years too! Great food and spectacular atmosphere.
