Jess and I had heard great things about iAlive restaurant and we were in the area over the summer so we decided to stop in for lunch. The interior was clean and inviting and the smells coming out on the kitchen had us excited to see the menu. Our friendly waitress greeted us immediately with menus and asked if we wanted something to drink.

I will say that the menu is absolutely gigantic!! Jessica also loved the fact that the menu had pictures, which I have to admit, is a nice touch. There really is something for everyone…..Seafood, Portuguese, Italian, Burgers, Sandwiches and more. It was difficult to choose from so many possibilities!!!!! While we waited to order the waitress brough warm rolls with Mozambique dipping sauce on the side. Unfortunately, it is made with onion, so with my onion allergy I was unable to try it but Jessica’s inability to speak said it all! A little heat and a lot of garlic made this one of Jessica’s favorite Mozambique sauces to date! She even asked for another bowl because after all, you can’t let warm rolls go to waste!!!!

For entrees Jessica chose Paelha ($23.99) which includes half lobster, two shrimp, two scallops, six mussels and four littlenecks served over a heaping serving of seafood rice. Jessica loved it! With bold flavors and a nice spicy kick Jessica thouroghly enjoyed every bite, and there was more than enough to take home leftovers!

I chose Chicken Alentejana ($17.99) as it tends to be one of my favorite Portuguese dishes and this one did not dissapoint! The sauce had a nice balance of flavor and a little heat which complimented the large pieces of tender chicken and cubed potatoes. I really enjoyed it, and there was certainly enough for me to take home for lunch the next day. It’s always a win when you can make two meals out of one!!!

iAlive restaurant doesn’t disspoint on any level! Large portions, great flavors, and reasonable prices make ialive more than worthy of a stop for lunch or dinner. Being that we were there for a quick lunch stop, we didn’t try and appetizer or dessert, but we will when we return…and we will return!

iAlive is located near the Seekonk border on 569 Winthrop Street in Rehoboth Ma. Take a ride and grab a great meal…oh ya don’t forget to tell them that Two Girls Spooning sent you!

Happy Spooning!

Sara and Jess
