Chomp

Burgers. Sandwiches. Beer. It’s that simple according to their website, but let me tell you, the flavors are anything but simple. We had Chomp on our list for quite a while and we were able to squeeze a visit in right before summer ended.

We went on a Wednesday night and the place was hopping! We had made a reservation and when we arrived we were asked if we wanted to sit in the beer garden, patio or inside….we chose inside, but it was nice to have a seating option.

Avery, our waitress, came over to greet us and to let us know that we could find the menu by using a QR code. I realize that the QR code menus were added as a result of Covid but when I think about how many hands touch a menu….yuck, it might be wise to keep that option long term.

As the Chomp website states, the menu is pretty simplistic…..a few appetizer options, a couple of salads, sandwiches and burgers with all sides being available a la carte. We definitely wanted to try an appetizer so we ordered the Korean ($13) and Mozambique Wings($13). The Korean wings were the perfect balance of sweet and savory with just the right about of sticky sauce coating each crispy wing. Finger licking good! The Mozambique wings had a little bit of heat which was compliment to the bold Mozambique flavor. It was hard not to eat all the wings, but we knew by the size of the burgers going by us that we needed to save some room. SIDE NOTE… the wings were just as good the next day when we heated them up in the air fryer!!!

We knew we wanted to try a Chomp burger so I went with the House Burger ($15) and Jessica chose the Smash Burger($15). From the very first bite it was clear that these burgers are fresh hand made burgers! Both burgers were tasty, juicy and HUGE! With each mouthwatering bite Jessica and I knew we had found our new favorite burger stop!

Jessica had Mac and Cheese ($5) on the side and I had french fries ($3). The Mac and Cheese was creamy and the fries were crispy, just how I like them, and although the sides are a la carte, the servings sizes are more than generous!

Chomp may not be fancy, or have a large menu, but what they do have is great, high quality food! It’s clear that the owners pride themselves on scratch cooking and the product sells itself. We will certainly be back to try a different burger and honestly, I need to go back for another round of Wings!

Check out Chomp’s Warren RI or Providence Ri location, you will love it……. and if you want some company we would be happy to join you!

Don’t forget to tell them Two Girls Spooning sent you! Oh and one more thing….eat responsibly, use condiments!

Happy Spooning!

Sara and Jess
