Poutine Peddlers (Food Truck)

I don’t know about you, but when I hear the word poutine, I get all kinds of warm and fuzzy inside. The thought of crispy French fries topped with cheese curds, and hot gravy, make me happy. The great news is you don’t have to travel to Canada to get amazing poutine! The poutine peddler’s are serving up some hot, delicious, belly filling poutine with a nice selection of mouthwatering toppings.

About halfway through our 35 minute drive to Taunton we realized that we had forgotten our gift card…..oh darn, guess we’ll just have to go back!! 🙂

There are eight different poutine’s from which to choose as well as Picky Kidz( fried chicken fritters with fries). My mouth was watering just looking at the menu!! As some of you know, Jessica and I are somewhat obsessed with food trucks 🙂 What I like best about food trucks is not only the variety but the food is always fresh made to order; and the Poutine Peddlers truck is no exception!!!!

I chose the Porky pig ( $16) which consists of hot crispy fries, brown gravy, Wisconsin cheddar cheese curds, Kinfolks award-winning BBQ pulled pork and zesty barbecue sauce with sweet and tangy slaw and scallions. I’m not a fan of mixing different sauces so I asked for no barbecue sauce, and no slaw.

Porky Pig

We only waited about five or six minutes for our order, and we happily dove in! I felt bad that I didn’t take more pictures but I was hangry…yes hangry!!! Being that I am a huge pulled pork fan, these fries absolutely hit the spot! Heaping with amazing Kinfolk BBQ pulled pork, good size chunks of cheese curd and a savory gravy; I had to slow myself down to enjoy all of the goodness!!!!

Jessica chose the Hot Chick ($14) which consisted of hot crispy fries topped with Wisconsin cheddar cheese curds, brown gravy, and crispy chicken tossed with a spicy buffalo sauce, cool ranch and scallions.

The lightly battered chunks of chicken were perfectly drizzled with a combination of buffalo sauce and cool ranch. I could smell the heat coming off of Jessica’s French fries and I was intrigued. I’m not a huge fan of spicy food but I had to try some…… and they were SPIIIICYYYYYYYY and delicious!!!! Needless to say, Jessica LOVED them! 🙂
We ate in silence for several minutes ( aka feeding our faces) and quickly realized that this would end up being our lunch. We gave it our best shot but just couldn’t finish. Next time……next time!!!

If you aren’t planning to travel to Canada anytime soon, we highly recommend Poutine Peddlers!!! With prices ranging from $12-$16 we feel that is more than reasonable for the quality and amount of poutine that we received. If you’re near 239 Broadway Street in Taunton, Mass or you just feel like taking a ride for some great Poutine, head over to Poutine Peddlers and tell them Two Girls sent you!!!

Oh, and say hello to Mia for us!!!!!

Happy Spooning!!!

Sara and Jess 🙂
