New York City

Better known as the Big Apple and The City That Doesn’t Sleep, NYC is a favorite place of ours to hit up for a quick weekend trip. We are a about 3 1/2 hours away by train and car so it’s always tempting to jump in the car and head down to catch a show and immerse ourselves in the big city fun.

If you’ve never been to NYC you definitely need to see the Empire State Bulding, The Statue of Liberty, Central Park, The 911 Memorial, Madam Tussauds Museum, Time Square and of course you have to catch a Broadway Show!!! We have seen too many shows to list, so if you would some great suggestions please send us a message.

Here are some of our favorite places in NYC:

Hotel- Hilton Garden Inn Times Square on 8th Ave– it’s literally a 5 minute walk to Times Square and the Theater District. The hotel is very clean and the staff is fantastic! There are plenty of parking garages nearby so parking is fairly easy, albeit expensive. https://www.guestreservations.com/hilton-garden-inn-times-square-new-york/booking?gclid=CjwKCAjwm7mEBhBsEiwA_of-TEe8p9JmS8LaBI8dbmUXiZes_RJeYkHjj914VP3MwiofWTBcUvmpFhoC62EQAvD_BwE

For a great breakfast, lunch or dinner a walk across the street to the Time Square Diner and Grille. One of our absolute favorite places in the Food Emporium on the corner beforethe hotel. They have a full grocery store downstairs and upstairs they have hot food, sandwiches, all types of specialty items and the best bakery! I think we look forward to going there as much as going to see a show! For lunch or dinner and a show you have to go to Ellen’s Starlight Diner! The waitstaff sings and interacts with the guests while you eat…it is a must do if your visiting NYC. https://www.ellensstardustdiner.com/

A few others: Radio City Music Hall, Take a Tour of the NBS Studios, and St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

If you can possibly go during the Christmas Holiday Season you will absolutely want to see the Rockettes, The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree and the Macy’s Windows. It’s an experience like no other!!

I could go on for hours about NYC but I will spare you every detail. If you want any suggestions or you have been and have suggestions for us please send us a message, we would love to hear from you!!
